Challenge the Mountains!

The Blue Ridge Brutal date has been set for August 16,2008

The ride tours two northwest North Carolina counties (Ashe and Alleghany) and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Beginning and ending at the foot of Mount Jefferson in West Jefferson North Carolina,

the ride offers 100 miles of varied and challenging terrain.

The Ashe Civic Center is pleased to sponsor the Blue Ridge Brutal.  The Brutal was started as a fundraiser for the Civic Center in 1990. In 2008 the Brutal proceeds will again be used in support of community and school arts programming at the Ashe Civic Center to benefit the surrounding area.
