The Ashe County Arts Council is a private, non-profit community based cultural organization that has diligently worked toward bringing the arts to Ashe since 1977.

The Arts Council is comprised of a Board of Directors holding twenty seats,

some of which are held by a husband and wife team.
The Board of Directors includes:
Chris Arvidson and Henry Doss, Michael Bell, Sara Benfield, Doyle Brown, Fowler and Jennie Bush, Ron and Nancy Carter, Theresa Early Curd, Judy and Cameron Current, Jane Davis, Connie Hardison, Diane and Wayne Johnson, Dana Johnson, Becky Marsten, Ed and Ellie Perzel, Burt and Sandra Prange, Crystal Carson Spencer, Becky Strgand, Pam Tapp and Lisa Willingham.

The Board of Advisors is comprised of Joy Campbell, Judy Dancy, Kathy Howell, Sharon Kasel, Tammy Parunak, Nancy Shoemaker and June Weaver
