The Ashe County Arts Council is a private, non-profit community based cultural organization that has diligently worked toward bringing the arts to Ashe since 1977.

The Arts Council is comprised of a Board of Directors holding twenty seats,

some of which are held by a husband and wife team.
The Board of Directors includes:
Sara Benfield, Janet and Ken Brashear,Doyle Brown, Fowler and Jennie Bush, Ron and Nancy Carter, Theresa Early Curd, Walter Clark and Johnny Burleson, Alfred and Josette Glover, Kathy Howell, Dana Johnson, Sharon Kasel, Vicky Moody, Michelle Obenchain, Tammy Parunak, Ed and Ellie Perzel, Burt and Sandra Prange, Robin Sexton, Amanda Wright Spencer, David Van Hoy, and Lisa Willingham.

The Board of Advisors is comprised of Lisa Baldwin, Michael Bell, Joy Campbell, Judy Dancy, Becky Marsten, Barbara Miller, Nancy Shoemaker and June Weaver
