The Blue Ridge Brutal 100 Racing Jersey is available. This state of the art jersey is manufactured by Champion and features a full color, front and back depiction of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the "Brutal".

The jerseys are $70.00 and the lead time is six to twelve weeks.

2008 Blue Ridge Brutal Ride results

 

Blue Ridge Brutal 2008

There are three ride options: 50 mile, 75 mile, 100 mile.

We will have six rest stops, three mussette stops for the fast pack, Ham Radio, Ashe County Rescue Squad and SAG Wagon Support. Helmets are mandatory and all traffic regulations must be observed. No personal SAGS.

For a few hardy souls who want to challenge the mountain; we are offering the "Assault on Mount Jefferson". This option is available at no extra cost, but due to Mountain Jefferson State Park regulations,

we can only offer it to twenty-five riders in the 100-mile ride.

If you want to cap your ride with this option be sure to check the "Assault" box on the registration form. The time window for the "Assault" is from 12:00-4:00 p.m. We will maintain a waiting list so that additional riders will have the opportunity if we have cancellations. For the "Assault" on the mountain, the riders will roll across the finish mat and continue on up the mountain without any break. The "Assault" time will be the difference from the bottom of mat to the top mat.

The registration fees are very competitive with comparable rides. Registration is $45 by August 1 and $50 after August 1. This is all inclusive rate guarantees the following: A fully supported ride option of  your choice, chip timing, t-shirt, hot pasta meal, home-made desserts and beverage.

 

For 2008 chip timing will be provided by Set-up, Inc. Chip timing will be available for all three ride options and the "Assault". Timing will be divided by ride, five year age increments, male and female.

Chip Guidelines include:

Chips will be distributed Saturday morning from 6:16-7:45

Rider must have a number (number will be in packets) to receive chip.

To participate in ride, rider must have chip

T-shirts will be on site on August 16 if we receive your registration on or before August 1. If we receive your registration after August 1, we will mail the shirts to  you at no extra cost.
